Another Day Alive

Memories from My Life. I believe in the freedom of our founders. I believe in The United States of America. I AM AN AMERICAN!!!! "TANTUM RELIGIO PODUIT SUADERE MALORUM" "Millions of innocent men, women and children, since the introduction of Christianity, have been burnt, tortured, fined and imprisoned; yet we have not advanced one inch towards uniformity." -Thomas Jefferson

Waiting

We wait for the next three months to pass so we can have Iraq as a memory. The city rests, we have captured many terrorists in the last few days. We have not finished yet.
One of our patrols was ambushed a few days ago; two terrorist pigs were killed and 4 were captured.
Everyday we go out in missions with the intent of either killing the terrorist pigs or capture as many as we can. I like them dead, but must just give up because they are not as commited as their leaders.
I feel no regret when their half destroyed bodies are loaded in trash plastic bags. One strange thing that is happening with the Iraqi Security Forces is that they show the same victory feeling once the shooting is over.
Last week, an Iraqi Army patrol brought five terrorist pigs to the jail. We were pulling security for a larger force when we saw the LT walking with his troops guarding the terrorists and waiting for transportation. As we started to share smokes, water and some candy an Iraqi soldier saw that one of terrorist was trying to hide from us. The Iraqi soldier told the Iraqi LT about it and then the LT told us that the terrorist was acting kind of strange because we were there. At that moment the police arrived to pick them up and the Iraqi police CPT was told about the terrorist acting strange. Well, three hours later the police CPT came back and told us that the terrorist pig who was acting strange was the head of a terrorist cell in the town and had killed a lot of people.
The Iraqi soldiers that had made the arrest were so happy and proud that they told us the story of the arrest over and over. The funny thing was that we also felt proud of them.
We are no longer the first line of protection, we are the third. If the Iraqi Police gets in trouble, they call the Iraqi Army, if they can not handle the problem; we are called to help out.
