Life is great!!!

Greetings

About 6 weeks ago the wife and were in an argument about what type of deck we were going to place on the back yard and if there was going to be a BBQ pit next to it.
A few days later my daughter told us that one of her friends was going to be placed in a foster home because her father couldn’t take care of her and her mother had died of breast cancer two years earlier and now she was staying with her sister.
So my wife and I decided to check this young girl out to see if she needed our help.
She came over the weekend to stay with us; she did fine and didn’t say more than three words.
After the weekend was over, my wife started to gather information from the school. There was Mrs. J that was her social worker and another family that she was staying with in addition with her sister.
We called Mrs. J to ask her if it was OK for Dani to stay with us for the following weekend and she said that it was OK. She also said that Dani was a manipulative little spoiled brat that was just looking for a better deal. She told us that if her sister was OK with it, it was OK with her.

We found out through many phone calls that her hearing was on Sep 18th and if we were considering custody we should apply for it. Also there was an uncle from Florida that wanted custody and was coming to get her on the 18th.

Well, on that Friday, after asking the case worker if she was fine staying with us we went to pick her up at her sister's house, once there I asked Dani’s sister if she knew that we were interested in getting custody of her sister, she said that she knew and after the 18th she needed to find a place to go because she couldn’t stay with her. The trailer they were living in was not the best place to care for a child and there were already two that were running around in diapers. Her uncle was not coming because he couldn’t leave the state of Florida due to some legal matters.

So Dani went to stay with us until the hearing on September 18th.

The day at the court hearing was the hardest day I have ever faced with the law.
