New dreams

While I was in Iraq I was placed in a sink or swim situation. My jail was given two satellites, two modems and 24 IP addressees for 15 computers. So, once I signed for everything for the property books, I went to work trying to make a network run so we could have internet and work trying to make my jail a happy and productive place. For the whole year in Iraq I had to deal with power problems, UPSs burning up, computers crashing because the Iraqis would download too much porn (I never thought that I would ever say the words "too much porn.") I had to reformat all computers about three times each. I had three modems with about ten routers, I run enough cable to go from Iraq to Topeka, Kansas, etc, etc....
A few months into my deployment in that beautiful restive jail, I was given about 20 more desktops and laptops to add to all the stuff I had. A new internet system was added and the civilian that came to install it SAW all the computers that we had and reported to his higher ups that we only had one computer connected to the internet.
So our internet went from 1/2 ass slow to totally slow. After calling everybody but President Bush, my Captain and I were able to get a descent bandwidth for the whole system. On August 23, 2005 a piece of shit terrorist walks into the jail and blows his sorry piece of shit goat fucker ass and ruins one of the systems. I was called to perform magic and was able to bring a back up system and keep running our daily operations. Running the network in the jail was one of many jobs that I had to do.
For the last few months I have been the local computer repairman and I have been doing it for free. Yesterday I was trying to sell some radio to a small business, I was doing bad by the way, when I notice that they had a new computer being used as a paper weight. I asked them about it and they told me that TWO computer repair stores had told him that his RAM was bad and both stores had given him back a reformatted hard drive and the computer wouldn't even go to the BIOS screen. These so called experts just didn't want to do the work and fix it. I told the owner that I could fix it. I checked both memory sticks and then installed Windows XP on the computer. After a few hours of working with it he had a working computer, internet, all the good stuff from Microsoft and I had few twenty dollar bills in my pocket. The owner then told me that I had his computer business from now on. Today I am going to place some flyers all over my small town offering my services.
I have been helping people with their computers for a few years now, never charging more than a six pack of beer. I will start with more than that this time.

My very first HNT.

I say what the hell and here it is!!!!
It was a hot weekend and I went running, after I took a cold shower and took the pic.
I miss running in the early morning with the soldiers. Now I have to run by myself listening to my MP3. I miss my troops.

When it rains .......

Every week since I started to work at the radio station I have been offered jobs across the city, this last week I had four job offers making a lot more money that I am making now. The best one was from a bank that is doing business with the radio station, where I have another appointment with the president of the bank on Monday. I am thinking of taking that one because it pays twice as much as I am making now.
I like what I am doing at the radio station, but making TWO TIMES more money has a hook that I can NOT resist.
The last 4th of July was great, we spent about $500 worth of fireworks and we had a great time. Everybody was safe, as the picture shows.
I would like to ask if anybody out there knows who is sending those emails about someone in some country died and left a lot of money unclaimed and the writer would like to send it to you because there is no way to get it out of the country otherwise.
The latest is from a son of a whore that has been using the names of troops killed in Iraq and sending it to soldiers that have been in the same unit saying that:


Dear Xxxxx Xxxxx
Am very sorry for the unsolicited way of contacting you for the first
time. My names are Barrister Stephen Wright. The principal partner of the
above mentioned law house in London. I have tried to contact you earlier
through your postal address as regards this issue but the mails
returned undelivered that is why I tried your private email address.
Currently, his contract has expired with the bank and the now wish to
either get this fund transferred to you as your name was mentioned in the
deposit/contract certificates with his finance house as his possible
next of kin. I have tried to reach you several times with the above listed
postal addresses but the mail returned undelivered. Please I direct that you
get back to me immediately so that I can furnish you with the entire
deposit certificates and thereafter present you to the bank as his possible
next of kin so that the funds can be transferred to you for further
disbursement to the other family members.
